- Remove the nuts and remove the bracket.
- Remove the stud bolts.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing.

- Remove the thermostat housing cover.

- Remove the four bolts and the thermostat housing.

- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
- Disconnect the engine vent hose.
- Disconnect the upper radiator hose.
- Disconnect the heater supply hose.
- Disconnect the water pump hose.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
- Remove the water crossover assembly.
- Disconnect the water inlet hose from the coolant outlet pipe.
- Disconnect and remove the water inlet hose from the pump.
- Disconnect the heater water hose from the water pump.
- Remove the belt idler pulley.
- Remove the bracket. Unclip the wiring harness. Remove the two stud bolts and the bolt. Remove the bracket.
- Remove the bolt and the studs. Remove the water pump assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
- Remove the water pump pulley bolts and the pulley.
- Remove the five bolts and the water pump.
- Remove the gasket and discard. Inspect the O-ring seal. Install a new O-ring seal as necessary. Visually inspect the rotors in the water pump.
- Install a new gasket and the water pump, and tighten the bolts in two stages: Stage 1: Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Install and tighten the water pump pulley in two stages: Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Stage 2: Tighten an additional 45 degrees.
- Install the accessory drive belt.
- Refill the engine cooling system. For additional information, see «COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING»(ref-177126-S33156574382005062000000) .

- Disconnect the hose and allow to drain.

- Using the appropriate special tool, install a new O-ring on the hydraulic cooling fan pressure hose fitting.

Item 20: A/C Condenser Removal Note
- Lower the A/C condenser to gain access to the A/C condenser-to-radiator bolts.
Item 23: Combination Cooler Bolts Removal Note
- It may be necessary to lean the radiator forward to gain access to the combination cooler bolts.
Item 24: Combination Cooler Removal Note
- Lift the combination cooler up and forward to release it from the radiator retaining clips.
Item 24: Combination Cooler Installation Note
- Make sure that the combination cooler is seated in the radiator retaining clips.

- Disconnect the engine vent hose, and separate the air bleed hose from the degas bottle.

- Disconnect the degas return hose from the degas return tube.
- Remove the two bolts.
- Remove the degas bottle from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
