  1. INSPECT FUSE (H-LP LVL) Remove the H-LP LVL fuse from the passenger side junction block. Measure the resistance of the fuse. Standard resistance: Below 1 ohms NG: REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step.
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AFS ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the A31 ECU connector. (Scheme 2): Identifying A31 ECU Connectors Terminal Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector. Standard voltage VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A31-2 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V Standard resistance RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION Tester Connection Specified Condition A31-1 (E1) - Body ground Below 1 ohms NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step.
  3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE Disconnect the A31 and D2 ECU connectors. (Scheme 3): Identifying A31 And D2 ECU Connectors Terminal Remove the front light ECU from the engine room relay block. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.   2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT DOOR ECU LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the D19 ECU connector.   2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU - BODY GROUND) Disconnect the T8 ECU connector. (Scheme 11): Identifying T8 ECU Connectors Terminal Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector. DTC B1214 is detected when +B is short-circuited on the door system communication bus, and DTC B1215 is detected when the body ground is short-circuited on the door system communication bus. Detecting this condition will disable the door system communication bus (BEAN) and a DTC will be output.

  1. CHECK OPERATION (DIMMER SWITCH) Turn the dimmer switch ON and check that the headlights illuminate. OK: Headlights illuminate. OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU (Scheme 109): Identifying Multiplex Network Front Light ECU Connectors Terminal NG: Go to next step.
  2. INSPECT FUSE (MPX-B3) Remove the MPX-B3 fuse from the passenger side junction block. Measure the resistance of the fuse. Standard resistance: Below 1 ohms NG: REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step.
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK FRONT LIGHT ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors. NOTE: The inspection should be performed from the backside of the relay block with the multiplex network front light ECU connector connected.
