MASTER SWITCH
All of the windows can be controlled from the master switch on the driver's door panel. One of the individual switches on the master switch controls the driver's windows. All of the other individual switches control the passenger's windows (these are referred to as "master passenger's switches" to distinguish them from the passenger switch on each of the passenger's doors).
PASSENGER'S SWITCHES
A switch on each passenger's door controls the window.
WINDOW LOCK SWITCH
When the button for the window lock switch is pressed down, the window lock function is turned on, preventing the passenger's windows from being operated from either the master switch or the passenger's switches. Only the driver's window can be operated. To turn the window lock function off, press the button again and it will pop up.
INDICATOR LIGHTS
Indicator lights on the master passenger's switches indicate whether or not the window lock function is on. When the window lock function is off, all 4 of the indicator lights come on, indicating that all windows can be controlled. When the window lock function is on, the indicator lights on the master passenger's switches go out, indicating that these windows cannot be operated.
PARTIAL LOWERING & "ONE-TOUCH" LOWERING OF DRIVER'S WINDOW
To partially lower the driver's window, press the button slightly and hold it there until the window is at the desired level. To fully lower the window without having to hold the button down, press the button down fully and release it. This function, referred to as "one-touch" mode, is controlled by a logic circuit in the master switch. The logic circuit cannot be serviced separately from the master switch. If the logic circuit is faulty, the master switch must be replaced. To raise the window, lift the button until the window is at the desired level.
OPERATING CONDITIONS
The ignition must be on for the windows to operate. However, after the ignition is turned off, the windows can be operated for about one minute, as long as neither front door has been opened. This function, referred to as "key off".
