1. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM The illuminated entry system has the following control functions: Control Outline Lights that Operate Actuation Area-linked When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on*1. Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights When a registered key leaves all of actuation areas around the doors, the lights that operate turn off. Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on*1. Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights Courtesy Lights When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off. Center Console Spot Light When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off the light that operate turn off. Center Console Spot Light Delay When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions are met, the lights that operate turn off. An actuation area-linked function is used. The door unlock-linked function is active. Any doors is opened and then all doors are closed when the engine switch off. Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights Battery Saving When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off. HINT: Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off. The engine switch is turned on (ACC or IG) Any door is opened and closed The luggage compartment door is opened and closed Any door is unlocked The key enters any exterior actuation area The interior light on/off switch is turned from off to on Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights Courtesy Lights Luggage Comportment Light Vanity Lights HINT: *1: The lights turn on with light adjustment state.

1. INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting. HINT: The illuminated entry system illuminates the lights below. Engine Switch Illumination Front Interior Lights Rear Interior Light Footwell Lights Scuff Plate Lights The operation and condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed. Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out. The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed*1. Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and locked. The engine switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed. All doors are closed when any door is opened and the engine switch is off. Fade out immediately When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade out immediately. The engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all doors are closed. All doors are locked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked. All doors are locked again when all doors are closed and locked. Battery saver When no changes occur in the condition of the doors for 20 minutes and a key is not in the actuation area, these lights turn off. HINT: *1: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
2. INSPECT CENTER CONSOLE SPOT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial settings. HINT: The center console spot light control illuminates the light below. Center console spot light The operation and condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Fade in When either of the following conditions is met, the center console spot light fades in. The engine switch is on (ACC) The engine switch is on (IG) Fade out The engine switch is off
3. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings. Operation Condition Battery saving When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off. DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the engine switch on (IG) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Scheme 7

This circuit detects the engine switch on (ACC) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Scheme 8

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the door courtesy light switch.

Scheme 9

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives the door courtesy light switch signal to control the courtesy light.

Scheme 10

The illuminated entry system controls the interior lights, footwell lights and scuff plate lights.

Scheme 11

When battery saving control operates while the interior lights are on, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) opens the DOME relay to turn off the lights.

Scheme 12

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls operation of the DOME relay in order to supply power to the interior lights.

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the interior light door switch and interior light on/off switch.

Scheme 13

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the center console spot light.

Scheme 14

The illuminated entry system controls the engine switch illumination.

Scheme 15

The power back door unit assembly (power back door ECU) receives a signal from the back door courtesy switch to control the luggage compartment light.

Scheme 16

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the door unlock detection switch.
