PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition O32-1 (MOR+) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V O32-2 (MOR-) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V Reconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system. Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector. Using a service wire, connect MOR+ and MOR- of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F57-1 (MOR-) - F57-2 (MOR+) Always Below 1 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Front view of wire harness connector (to Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly RH) *2 Front view of wire harness connector (to Seat Belt Control ECU) Reconnect the seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH connectors. NOTE: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
