INSPECTION

INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR (See DTC P2120, P2122, P2123, P2125, P2127, P2128, P2138: THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "D" CIRCUIT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "D" CIRCUIT LOW INPUT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "D" CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "E" CIRCUIT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "E" CIRCUIT LOW INPUT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "E" CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT, THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH "D"/"E" VOLTAGE CORRELATION )

If necessary, replace the accelerator pedal assembly.

Note. Be careful not to give a shock to the accelerator pedal assembly. Be careful not to disassemble the accelerator pedal assembly.

1. REMOVE ECM
2. INSPECT ECM (See «TERMINALS OF ECM»(ref-209750-S26445936112005121100000) )
3. REINSTALL ECM

1. WARM UP ENGINE Allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
2. CONNECT LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBD II SCAN TOOL Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool to the DLC3. Please refer to the LEXUS hand-held tester or OBD II scan tool operator's manual for further details.
3. INSPECT FUEL CUTOFF RPM OPERATION Increase the engine speed to at least 2,500 rpm. Check the injector for operating noise. Check that when the throttle lever is released, injector operation noise stops momentarily and then resumes. HINT: The vehicle should be at a rest the inspection. Inspection with the A/C OFF. Fuel return speed: 1,000 rpm
4. DISCONNECT LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBD II SCAN TOOL
