DESCRIPTION & OPERATION

ES300 is equipped with a manual tilt steering wheel. GS300, GS400 & LS400 are equipped with power tilt and telescoping steering column. SC300 and SC400 are equipped with either manual or power tilt/telescoping column. Control switches for windshield wipers/washers, lights, turn signals, and ignition are on the steering column.

Before servicing, wait at least 2 minutes after ignition switch is turned to LOCK position and negative battery cable is disconnected. |
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) OPERATION CHECK
Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position. Air bag warning light in instrument cluster should come on for about 6 seconds, then go out. If light does not respond as specified, SRS is malfunctioning and needs repair. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
