  1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT HINT: All bolts, screws and nuts relevant to installing and removing the instrument panel are shown along with their alphabet code in the table below.
  2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349732-S04425564642009120800000) )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Disable the AUTO TILT AWAY function by changing the customize parameter (see «CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS»(ref-349706-S40935619612009120800000) ). NOTE: Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the AUTO TILT AWAY function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation. HINT: Performing the above operation causes the AUTO TILT AWAY function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column. Turn the engine switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Using a molding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw. Remove the finish panel.
  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Using a molding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw. Remove the finish panel.
  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.
  7. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the box panel.
  8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER Place protective tape as shown in the illustration. Move the shift lever to N. Remove the 2 screws. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 clips. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the panel and disconnect the connectors.
  9. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER Place protective tape as shown in the illustration. Detach the 2 clips. Remove the panel and disconnect the connector.
  10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Using a molding remover, detach the 5 clips and 2 claws. Remove the end panel and then disconnect the connector.
  11. REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER Remove the cover.
  12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Remove the 4 bolts and 2 screws. Disconnect the connectors. Detach the 2 claws and remove the console box.

  19. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Remove the 2 clips. Detach the 2 clips. Disconnect the connectors and remove the finish panel.
  20. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Remove the 4 screws. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter.
  21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Using a molding remover, detach the 6 clips, and remove the side panel.
  22. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOLDING Using a molding remover, detach the 2 clips and remove the molding.
  23. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Remove the 2 screws. Detach the 2 claws. Disconnect the connectors and clamp, and remove the under cover.
  24. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver, detach the claw. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the hole cover. Remove the 2 screws. Detach the 5 clips and claw. Remove the safety pad and then disconnect the connectors.
  25. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349738-S31284329952009120800000) )
  26. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Using a molding remover, detach the 6 clips, and remove the side panel.
  27. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOLDING Using a molding remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the molding.
  28. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Detach the 4 claws. Remove the under cover and then disconnect the connector.

  36. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY Place protective tape as shown in the illustration. Using a molding remover, detach the upper 2 claws. Detach the lower 2 claws. Disconnect the connector and remove the register.

  46. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disconnect the connectors and clamps. Remove the 2 passenger airbag bolts. Remove the 5 bolts and nut. Detach the 5 claws and remove the safety pad.
  47. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL STAY Detach the 5 claws and remove the 5 stays.

  1. REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH Detach the 2 claws and remove the switch.
  2. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT Remove the screw. Detach the claw and remove the duct.
  3. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY Remove the 3 screws and nozzle.
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT Remove the screw. Detach the claw and remove the duct.
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN Remove the 2 screws and 2 pins.
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT Remove the 3 screws and duct.

  10. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU Remove the bolt and ECU.
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE Disconnect the connector and 4 clamps, and remove the wire.
