INSTALLATION

HINT

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. INSTALL MOBILE PHONE BRACKET Install the 2 mobile phone brackets with the 4 bolts.
  2. INSTALL MAYDAY ECU Install the ECU with the nut. Connect the 4 connectors. Attach the 2 clamps.
  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )

  17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ). NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  19. PERFORM REGISTRATION Perform registration (see REGISTRATION ). NOTE: When replacing the mayday battery or the mayday ECU assembly (together with mayday battery), perform registration.

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOLDING (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE BUS BUFFER ECU Disconnect the connector. Remove the nut and ECU.

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  15. REMOVE MAYDAY BATTERY Disconnect the connector. Remove the nut, upper bracket and battery.
  16. REMOVE LOWER BRACKET Remove the 2 nuts and bracket. Disconnect the clamp.
  1. INSTALL LOWER BRACKET Install the bracket with the 2 nuts. Connect the clamp.
  2. INSTALL MAYDAY BATTERY Install the battery with the upper bracket and nut. Connect the connector.
  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )

  1.   3. REMOVE TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 antenna cord connectors. Detach the 2 claws and remove the protector. Disconnect the 2 connectors. Remove the antenna nut. Detach the 2 claws and remove the telephone antenna.

  1. INSTALL TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY Attach the 2 claws to install the telephone antenna. Install the antenna nut. Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf) Connect the 2 connectors. Attach the 2 claws to install the protector. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 antenna cord connectors.
  2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY for Standard Body: Install the roof headlining (see INSTALLATION ). for Long Body: Install the roof headlining (see INSTALLATION ).
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ). NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

  1. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY for Standard Body: Remove the map light (see REMOVAL ). for Long Body: Remove the map light (see REMOVAL ).
  2. REMOVE GARAGE DOOR OPENER TRANSMITTER Remove the 2 screws. Disconnect the connector and remove the amplifier, as shown in the illustration.
  3. REMOVE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY Remove the 9 screws, cover and plate. Disconnect the connector. Detach the 2 claws and remove the microphone.

  1. INSTALL MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY Attach the 2 claws to install the microphone. Connect the connector. Install the cover and plate with the 9 screws.
  2. INSTALL GARAGE DOOR OPENER TRANSMITTER Connect the connector and install the amplifier, as shown in the illustration. Install the 2 screws.
  3. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY for Standard Body: Install the map light (see INSTALLATION ). for Long Body: Install the map light (see INSTALLATION ).
