- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH Remove the 2 bolts. Partially remove the fender liner. HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the compressor can be removed.
- REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 clamps. Disconnect the height control filter from the front bumper reinforcement. Disconnect the height control tube (see «PRECAUTION»(ref-349750-S28775479872009120800000) ). Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and height control compressor with bracket. Detach the 3 clamps. Detach the connector's claw and remove the connector from the bracket. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushings and bracket from the compressor.

- INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR (EXHAUST VALVE) Measure the resistance of the exhaust valve. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table. Standard resistance STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (B) - 2 (L) at 20°C (68°F) 10 to 14 ohms Check the exhaust valve operation. Connect terminal 1 to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 to the battery negative (-) terminal. Check the operating sound of the height control valve. OK: It should make an operating sound (click).
- INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR (COMPRESSOR MOTOR) Check the compressor operation. Connect terminal 1 (B) to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (E) to the battery negative (-) terminal. Check the operation of the compressor motor. OK: Motor operates. NOTE: Do not operate the height control compressor for 60 seconds or more. Since a short and a lock-up inside the height control compressor cause excessive current to flow, stop operation immediately when the compressor motor does not operate.
INSTALLATION
- INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR Install the 3 bushings and bracket to the height control compressor with the 3 bolts. Torque: 5.9 N*m (60 kgf*cm, 52 in.*lbf) Push the connector into the housing until a clicking sound is heard. Attach the 3 clamps. Install the height control sensor with the bolt and 2 nuts. Torque: 19.1 N*m (195 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) Connect the height control tube (see «PRECAUTION»(ref-349750-S28775479872009120800000) ). Connect the height control filter to the bumper reinforcement. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 2 clamps.

- INSPECT FOR AIR LEAK Inspect for air leak (see «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-349750-S12258921322009120800000) ).
- INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH Install the 2 bolts.
