REPLACEMENT

HINT

1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FR WIPER BLADE LH Remove the front wiper blade LH from the front wiper arm LH. NOTE: Do not fold down the front wiper arm with the front wiper blade removed from it.
2. REMOVE WIPER RUBBER LH Remove the front wiper rubber LH from the front wiper blade. Remove the 2 wiper rubber backing plates from the wiper rubber LH.
3. INSTALL WIPER RUBBER LH Install the 2 wiper rubber backing plates to the wiper rubber LH. NOTE: Install the backing plates in the correct direction. Install the wiper rubber LH so that the head part (larger side) of the wiper rubber faces the arm axle side. NOTE: Push the front wiper blade into the grooves of the wiper rubber to engage them completely.

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1 (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
5. REMOVE HEADLAMP WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSY LH Pull out the headlamp cleaner washer nozzle. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the headlamp cleaner washer nozzle. Remove the bolt. Remove the headlamp washer actuator from the front bumper cover by pushing the upper part of the headlamp washer actuator sub-assy LH.
6. INSTALL HEADLAMP WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSY LH Install the headlamp washer actuator sub-assy LH to the front bumper cover with the screws. Install the headlamp cleaner washer nozzle and engage the 2 claws.
7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )
10. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1 (SEE «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/ls/iii-2003-2006/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#front-bumper__replacement) )

Scheme 121

1. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR Unlock the stopper by pulling it down, and remove the rain sensor. Disconnect the connector.
2. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR Connect the connector. Install the rain sensor. NOTE: Remove any residue left from the silicon sheet on the windshield. Clean the dirt on the glass with a cloth, etc. When installing a new rain sensor, peel the release paper from the silicon sheet first If reusing the rain sensor, install the new rain sensor tape before installing the rain sensor. Be careful not to leave any air bubbles in the rain sensor tape when installing the rain sensor.
