- CHECK DRIVER DOOR ECU Disconnect the D25 ECU connector. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector. Standard: If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side. Reconnect the D25 ECU connector Measure the voltage of each terminal of the D25 and R39 ECU connectors. Standard: If the result is not as specified, replace the remote control mirror or the driver door ECU may be malfunctioning.
- CHECK FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ECU Disconnect the F17 ECU connector. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector. Standard: If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
- Reconnect the F17 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage of each terminal of the F17 and R40 ECU connectors. Standard: If the result is not as specified, replace the remote control mirror or the passenger door ECU may be malfunctioning.
- CHECK DRIVER SIDE J/B ECU Disconnect DA, DG JB and D5 ECU connectors. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connectors. Standard: If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
- Reconnect the DA, DG JB and D5 ECU connectors.
- Measure the voltage of each terminal of the connectors. Standard: If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch or the ECU may be malfunctioning.

- DESCRIPTION The driver door ECU controls the function of the power mirror control system on the vehicle. Data of the power mirror control can be read in the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the hand-held tester to check for malfunctions and perform repairs.
- CHECK DLC3 HINT: The vehicle's ECU uses the ISO 15765-4 for communication protocol. The terminal arrangement of the DLC3 complies with SAE J1962 and matches the ISO 15765-4 format. HINT: Connect the cable of the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3, turn the ignition switch ON and attempt to use the hand-held tester. If the screen displays UNABLE TO CONNECT TO VEHICLE, a problem exists in the vehicle side or the tester side. If the communication is normal when the tool is connected to another vehicle, inspect the DLC3 on the original vehicle. If the communication is still impossible when the tester is connected to another vehicle, the problem may be in the tester itself. Consult the Service Department listed in the tester's instruction manual.
- CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE Standard: 11 to 14 V If voltage is below 11 V, replace the battery before proceeding.

- DATA LIST HINT: Using the hand-held tester DATA LIST allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the DATA LIST early in troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time. Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch ON. Read the DATA LIST according to the display on the tester.
- ACTIVE TEST HINT: Performing the hand-held tester ACTIVE TEST allows relay, VSV, actuator and other items to be operated without removing any parts. Performing the ACTIVE TEST early in the troubleshooting is one way to shorten labor time. The DATA LIST can be displayed during the ACTIVE TEST. Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch ON. Perform the ACTIVE TEST according to the display on the tester.
