REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Removal
- Using a screwdriver, remove the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover. (Scheme 6)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the mirror assembly by turning the stay part of the mirror counterclockwise. (Scheme 7)

Installation
- Match the claw part of the mirror with a cut part of the base.
- Turn the stay part of the mirror clockwise so that the stay can come to the original position, and then install the mirror assembly.
- Connect the inner rear view mirror connector.
- Remove the front door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (FRONT) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under «POWER DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK LID»(ref-154728) article in DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS.
- Remove the front No. 2 speaker by disconnecting the connector and removing the 2 bolts. (Scheme 8)
- Remove the outer side view mirror by disconnecting the connector and removing the bolt.
