CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS

  1. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH TECHSTREAM HINT: The following items can be customized. NOTE: When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized. Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing. When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting. Select the setting by referring to the table below. OTHERS Tester Display Default Content Selection Rear Shade Delay Time 0.7 s Function to change the time lag of the shift-linked operation 0.7 s / 1.2 s / 0.9 s / 0.0 s R pos to Rear Sun Shade COM ON Function to lower the rear sunshade when the shift lever is moved to R with the rear sunshade raised ON/OFF

PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (READY). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream. HYBRID CONTROL (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU) Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Shift Sensor Shift Pos Shift state/P, R, N, D or B P, R, N, D or B Selected shift state OK The Techstream display changes according to the shift state selected using the shift lever or P position switch (transmission shift main switch). NG --> See step 8 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (REVERSE SIGNAL) Check if the shift position indicator light in the combination meter assembly operates normally. OK The shift position indicator light indicates the actual shift position correctly. NG --> See step 9 OK: Go to next step
  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream. HINT: Make sure the rear sunshade assembly is raised before performing Active Test. MAIN BODY (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Reverse Gear Signal Reverse signal ON/OFF - OK The rear sunshade assembly is lowered. NG --> See step 4 OK --> See step 7
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR Disconnect the L24 rear sunshade relay connector. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L24-3 (REV) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 6
  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SUNSHADE RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU) Disconnect the F8 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connectors. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L24-3 (REV) - F8-6 (REV) Always Below 1 ohms F8-6 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK --> See step 7
  6. REPLACE REAR SUNSHADE RELAY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398252-S40135291282011051600000)
  7. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398241-S22735242352011051600000)
  8. GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-398094-S33423791982011051600000)
  9. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398232-S36824664312011051600000)
