DESCRIPTION

The power window regulator motor is operated by the multiplex network master switch or power window regulator switch. The power window regulator motor assembly has motor and ECU functions.

This DTC is stored when the power window regulator motor has a malfunction, or the ECU built into the regulator motor determines that the fully closed window position has deviated approximately 20 mm (0.787 in.) or more from the normal position.

HINT

DTC B2311 can be stored in each power window regulator motor.

The power window regulator motor is driven by operating the power window switch. The power window regulator motor assembly has a motor and ECU.

When the ECU determines that the power window regulator motor has not been initialized, DTC B2313 is stored.

HINT

This DTC may be stored for all the windows.

When the power switch is on (IG) and the window lock switch is off, the multiplex network master switch sends remote up/down signals to each power window regulator motor via the LIN communication line.

  1. If the manual up/down function does not operate, there may be a malfunction in the multiplex network master switch, front power window regulator motor LH, harness or connector.

If the auto up/down function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following

  1. The ECU in the front power window regulator motor LH determines that the front power window regulator motor LH has not been initialized.
  2. The multiplex network master switch has a malfunction.
  3. The Hall IC in the front power window regulator motor LH has a malfunction.

If the auto up/down function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following

  1. The ECU in the front power window regulator motor RH determines that the front power window regulator motor RH has not been initialized.
  2. The front power window regulator switch RH has a malfunction.
  3. The Hall IC in the front power window regulator motor RH has a malfunction.
  4. There is an open or short in the wiring between the front power window regulator switch RH and front power window regulator motor RH.

  1. When a key switch is pushed: 1) the door control receiver receives the key signal; 2) the door control receiver sends a signal to the certification ECU; 3) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motors; and 4) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.
  2. When the driver door key cylinder (key-linked switch) is turned: 1) the door lock motor receives the signal; 2) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the signal to the power window regulator motors; and 3) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.
  1. When the front doors are closed, each power window regulator motor can control its power window operation for approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned from on (IG) to off by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). However, when approximately 43 seconds have elapsed, or a front side door is opened within approximately 43 seconds of the power switch being turned off, all the power window regulator motors disable manual operation.
  1. During the auto function operation, when 43 seconds have elapsed and key-off operation is prohibited, the window open operation stops immediately.

If any door glass or a power window regulator motor does not operate smoothly, the jam protection function may be triggered automatically, resulting in the auto up function being unable to fully close the window.

HINT

This symptom may occur for any of the windows.

  1. This problem may occur in all door windows. The jam protection function operates within a specified range during the manual up or auto up operation.
