  1. ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System) HINT: When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light door switch is on. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions: Control Outline Lighting Actuation Area-linked When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on. Map light assembly (dome light) Spot light assembly Power switch illumination Door mirror foot lights Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the items listed to the right turn on.   2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM When the interior lights have been illuminated for approximately 20 minutes with any of the doors ajar and the power switch off, this function turns off all of the interior lights in order to prevent the auxiliary battery from being depleted. HINT: When the light control operation conditions are met, battery saving control is canceled.

OPERATION CHECK [03/2012 - ]

  1. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings. HINT: When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light door switch is on. The interior light control illuminates the lights below. Map light assembly (dome light) Spot light assembly Power switch illumination The operation and operating condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed. Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met: The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed.* Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked. The power switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed. All the doors are closed when any door is opened and the power switch is off. Lights fade out immediately When either of the following conditions is met: The power switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all the doors are closed. All the doors are locked when the power switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. *: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
  2. INSPECT INTERIOR FOOT LIGHT AND DOOR ILLUMINATION CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings. The interior foot light and door illumination control illuminates the lights below. Front interior foot lights No. 1 interior illumination light assembly (rear interior foot light) Front door inside handle illumination light assembly Rear door inside handle illumination light assembly No. 1 interior illumination light assembly (front door ambient light) No. 1 interior illumination light assembly (rear door ambient light) The operation and operating condition of this control are described below. The door mirror foot light control illuminates the door mirror foot lights. The operation and operating condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met: The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed.* Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked. Lights fade out immediately All the doors are locked when the power switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. *: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
  4. INSPECT EXTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings. The exterior light control illuminates the lights below. Side marker lights Clearance lights Taillights License plate lights The operation and operating condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When either of the following conditions is met: Headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position and the doors are unlocked by a wireless unlock operation Headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position and the doors are unlocked by an entry unlock operation
  5. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION Check that when any of the doors is ajar and the power switch is off, all of the interior lights turn off within approximately 20 minutes. HINT: When the light control operation conditions are met, battery saving control is canceled.

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects whether the power switch is on (IG) or off, and sends this information to the main body ECU.
