  1. INSPECT FUSE (AM2) Remove the AM2 fuse from the main body ECU RH. Measure the resistance of the fuse. Standard resistance Below 1 ohms NG --> REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the K73 ECU connector. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.   1. INSPECT IG2 RELAY Remove the IG2 relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block. Measure the resistance of the relay. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 kohms or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 ohms (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) NG --> REPLACE IG2 RELAY OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 1 RELAY BLOCK - POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU) Remove the IG2 relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block. Disconnect the K73 ECU connector. The power source control ECU and the combination meter are connected by a cable and the BEAN. DTC B2282 is output when: 1) the cable information and BEAN information are inconsistent; and 2) a malfunction is detected between the vehicle speed sensor and combination meter.

The skid control ECU converts these signals into 4-pulse signals and sends them to the combination meter. After this signal is converted into a more precise rectangular waveform by the waveform shaping circuit inside the combination meter, it is then transmitted to the power source control ECU. The power source control ECU determines the vehicle speed based on the frequency of these pulse signals.

The power source control ECU and the HV control ECU are connected by a cable and the BEAN. If the cable information and BEAN information are inconsistent, this DTC will be output.

This DTC is output when there is a LIN communication problem between the power source control ECU and certification ECU or when there is a problem in the engine immobiliser system.

If the certification ECU detects the key inside the vehicle when the shift lever position is P and the brake pedal is not depressed, each press of the power switch changes the power source mode in the following order: OFF, ON (ACC), ON (IG), OFF. If one of the DTCs shown in the following illustration is detected, correct the DTCs according to the DTC chart. If the power source mode is still malfunctioning, one of the following may have occurred: 1) the MPX circuit has a malfunction, 2) the certification ECU has determined that the key is not inside the vehicle, 3) the power switch has a malfunction, or 4) the power source control ECU has a malfunction.

  1. INSPECT POWER SWITCH Remove the power switch. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the switch. NOTE: If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the power switch indicator does not illuminate. If the voltage is too low, the indicator will not illuminate.   1. CHECK WHETHER HYBRID SYSTEM STARTS AFTER STEERING LOCK INITIALIZATION Open and close the driver door when the power switch is OFF. Check that the engine (hybrid) starts. OK Engine (hybrid) starts. HINT: After the battery runs out, the engine (hybrid) may not start if the steering lock ECU has not been initialized (lock / unlock may not be recorded) through the procedure described above. OK --> END (SYSTEM IS OK) NG: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR DTC (EACH SYSTEM) Delete the DTCs. HINT: After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 5 seconds after the power switch is turned ON (IG). Check for DTCs again.
