REMOVAL

Note. Remove the steering wheel assembly before the steering gear removal, because there is possibility of breaking of the spiral cable.

1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL PAD (See «REMOVAL»(ref-229382-S27598302202006041500000) )
3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL (See «REMOVAL»(ref-229382-S27598302202006041500000) )
4. DISCONNECT RH AND LH TIE ROD ENDS (See «FRONT AXLE HUB»(ref-229380-S41114403172006041500000) )
5. DISCONNECT INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (See «REMOVAL»(ref-229382-S27598302202006041500000) )
6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE Remove the 6 bolts and front suspension member brace.
7. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED AND RETURN TUBES Pressure feed tube: Remove the union bolt and gasket. Return tube: Remove the union bolt and gasket.
8. 2JZ-GE Engine: DISCONNECT TUBE CLAMP Remove the bolt and disconnect the tube clamp.
9. 3UZ-FE Engine: DISCONNECT 2 TUBE CLAMPS Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 tube clamps.
10. REMOVE PS GEAR ASSEMBLY Disconnect the connector. Remove the 4 gear assembly set bolts and PS gear assembly.
11. REMOVE BRACKET AND GROMMET
