Removal & Installation

1. Remove front wheel.
2. Disconnect speed sensor harness connector. (Scheme 86)
3. Remove resin clip and 2 clamp bolts holding sensor harness to body.
4. Remove bolt and speed sensor from steering knuckle. (Scheme 87)
5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all nuts and bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153594-S36295261152003041500000).
6. Check ABS speed sensor signal. See «SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK»(ref-153594-S37091386092003041500000) under SYMPTOM TESTING.

Removal

1. Remove rear seat cushion and 2 headrests.
2. Remove 4 bolts, 2 nuts and seatback.
3. Disconnect speed sensor harness connector and pull out sensor wire harness with grommet. (Scheme 88)
4. Remove clamp bolt holding sensor wire harness to suspension arm No. 1.
5. Remove clamp nut holding sensor wire harness to body.
6. Remove sensor installation bolt and speed sensor from axle carrier. (Scheme 89)

Installation

1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all nuts and bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153594-S36295261152003041500000) .
2. Check ABS speed sensor signal. See «SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK»(ref-153594-S37091386092003041500000) under SYMPTOM TESTING.
