POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST

Remove power mirror switch. Check resistance or for continuity between specified switch terminals. (Scheme 8)or (Scheme 9). Refer to appropriate POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS or POWER MIRROR SWITCH RESISTANCE TEST table. If continuity or resistance is not as specified, replace switch.

POWER MIRROR ECU CIRCUIT TEST (SC300 & SC400)

  1. Remove power mirror ECU, located under left side of dash, near steering column. Disconnect harness connectors from power mirror ECU. Check for continuity between specified terminals. See «POWER MIRROR ECU CONTINUITY TEST»(ref-96833-S38820848642001041900000) table. (Scheme 10) If continuity does not exist, repair wiring or component as necessary.
  2. If continuity exists, reconnect harness connectors. Check voltage between ground and specified terminals. See «POWER MIRROR ECU VOLTAGE TEST»(ref-96833-S38820848642001041900000) table. If voltage is not as specified, check wiring harness and components as necessary. If wiring harness and components are okay, replace power mirror ECU.

POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST

Disconnect power mirror motor harness connector. Apply battery voltage between specified terminals (reverse polarity to move/operate motor in opposite direction). see scheme 5- see scheme 11. Also, see POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST SPECIFICATIONS. Replace motor if it does not operate as specified.
