- CHECK WINDOW LOCK SWITCH HINT: Before performing the window lock switch operation check, make sure that the window lock switch is off (the switch is not pushed in). When the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly is pushed: Check that the power window switch operation indicators for all switches other than those on the multiplex network master switch are off and that the front passenger and rear windows are disabled. OK Front passenger and rear windows are disabled. When the window lock switch is pushed in again: Check that all of the power window switch operation indicators illuminate and that the front passenger and rear windows can be operated normally. OK Front passenger and rear windows operate normally.
- CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION Check that the driver door power window operates as follows: OK Condition Master Switch Switch Operation Power Window Engine switch on (IG) Driver door Pulled halfway up UP (Closes) Pushed halfway down DOWN (Opens) Check that the front passenger door window and rear power windows operate as follows: OK Condition Regulator Switch Switch Operation Power Window Engine switch on (IG) Window lock switch off Front passenger door Pulled halfway up UP (Closes) Pushed halfway down DOWN (Opens) Rear LH door Pulled halfway up UP (Closes) Pushed halfway down DOWN (Opens) Rear RH door Pulled halfway up UP (Closes) Pushed halfway down DOWN (Opens)
- CHECK AUTO UP / DOWN FUNCTION Check that the driver door power window operates as follows: OK Condition Master Switch Switch Operation Power Window Engine switch on (IG) Driver door Pulled up (One touch operation) AUTO UP (Closes) Pushed down (One touch operation) AUTO DOWN (Opens) Check that the front passenger door window and rear power windows operate as follows: OK Condition Regulator Switch Switch Operation Power Window Engine switch on (IG) Window lock switch off Front passenger door Pulled up (One touch operation) AUTO UP (Closes) Pushed down (One touch operation) AUTO DOWN (Opens) Rear LH door Pulled up (One touch operation) AUTO UP (Closes) Pushed down (One touch operation) AUTO DOWN (Opens) Rear RH door Pulled up (One touch operation) AUTO UP (Closes) Pushed down (One touch operation) AUTO DOWN (Opens)

- CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF Check that each power window can be operated with the multiplex network master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly after the engine switch is turned off. HINT: If the window lock switch is on, the power windows cannot be operated by using power window regulator switch assembly and rear power window regulator switch assembly. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the window operation. Check that the key-off operation function does not operate immediately after the driver door or front passenger door is opened. HINT: Even if the driver door or front passenger door is opened during automatic window operation while the key-off operation function is on, the window will stop operating. Check that all the power windows cannot be operated after more than approximately 43 seconds have elapsed since the engine switch was turned off.
- CHECK KEY-LINKED FUNCTION USING DRIVER DOOR KEY CYLINDER* *: This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default. Check that all power windows operate as follows: OK Condition Door Key Cylinder Operation Power Window No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed Key is turned to the lock position and held for more than 1.5 seconds UP (Closes) No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed Returned to neutral position STOP No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed Key is turned to the unlock position and held for more than 1.5 seconds DOWN (Opens) No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed Returned to neutral position STOP
- CHECK WIRELESS TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION (w/ Side Marker Light)* *: This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default. Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the electrical key transmitter: OK Condition Transmitter Operation Power Window No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed and locked UNLOCK switch pressed for more than 2.4 seconds DOWN (Opens) No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed and locked UNLOCK switch released STOP
- CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION Check the basic function. WARNING: Do not put your fingers between the door frame and door glass to check the jam protection function. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection. HINT: The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operations while the engine is running or the engine switch is on (IG), and also for approximately 43 seconds after the engine switch is turned off. Fully open the window. Set a check jig wrapped with a piece of cloth near the window fully closed position. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Check Jig *2 Cloth Operate the auto up or manual up function to check that the power window stops and goes down after the check jig is caught between the window and door frame, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 200 mm (7.87 in.) or approximately 5 seconds have elapsed. HINT: If the check jig is caught when the opening is approximately 75 mm (2.95 in.) or more, the power window goes down approximately 125 mm (4.93 in.) or until approximately 2.5 seconds elapse. While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be raised using the power window switch.
- CHECK WINDOW OPEN WARNING Open a window by using the power window switch. When the engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off and the driver door is opened with the key in the vehicle, check that the warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds once. Then, check that the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly displays "Window opened".
- CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly). Check that the LEDs located in the multiplex network master switch assembly illuminate when the engine switch is turned on (IG). Check the LED illumination (power window regulator switch assembly). Check that the LED located in the power window regulator switch assembly illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG). HINT: If the window lock switch is on, the LED located in the power window regulator switch assembly will not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination. Check the LED illumination (rear power window regulator switch assembly). Check that the LED located in each rear power window regulator switch assembly illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG). HINT: If the window lock switch is on, the LEDs located in the rear power window regulator switch assemblies (for LH and RH) will not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.

DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2012 - ]
- DATA LIST HINT: Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Data List. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
