PRECAUTION [06/2012 - ]
- Check that the battery cables are connected to the correct terminals.
- Disconnect the battery cables when the battery is given a quick charge.
- Do not perform tests with a high voltage insulation resistance tester.
- Never disconnect the battery cables while the engine is running.
- Check that the charging cable nut is tightened on terminal B of the generator and the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

PROCEDURE
- CHECK LOOSENESS OF V-RIBBED BELT Check the tension of the belt by pushing it down with a finger. OK The tension of the belt is enough. NG --> See step 8 OK: Go to next step
- CHECK V-RIBBED BELT FOR WEAR Check the V-ribbed belt for wear. OK The V-ribbed belt is not worn. NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step
- CHECK GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH FOR WEAR Check the generator pulley with clutch grooves for wear or other defects. OK The generator pulley with clutch grooves are not damaged. NG --> See step 5 OK: Go to next step
- CHECK FOR NOISE WHILE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH IS OPERATING Perform a road test and check if noise occurs when decelerating. OK Noise does not occur. NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 6
- REPLACE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH. Refer to «COMPONENTS [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598623-S30905990232014021400000)
- REPLACE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to «COMPONENTS [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598623-S30905990232014021400000)
- REPLACE V-RIBBED BELT. Refer to «COMPONENTS [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598588-S24199715102014021400000)
- REPLACE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY. Refer to «COMPONENTS [06/2012 - ]»(ref-598588-S36306622032014021400000)
