STOPPING AUTO DOWN AT DRIVER'S WINDOW
Stopping of auto down at driver's window happens when the master switch is pulled to the up side during auto down operation. A ground circuit opens in the master switch and current does not flow from the master switch so the motor stops, causing auto down operation to stop. If the master switch is pulled continually, the motor rotates in the up direction in manual up operation.
DOOR GLASS (FRONT)
- Adjust lateral position of upper part of the door glass. Loosen the 2 nuts, then adjust the stud bolts using a hexagon wrench. (Scheme 31)
- Adjust the front/rear position and the horizontal inclination of the door glass. Loosen the 3 nuts, then adjust the door glass. (Scheme 32)
- After adjustment is done, Check to make sure when the door is closed with the door glass then fully closed or else the door glass is fully closed with the door then closed, check that cross section A-A and B-B are as specified (Scheme 33) Check that the weatherstrip is not pinched and that the door glass is not in contact with the roof drip molding. With the glass fully closed, check that the outside edge of the door glass is in contact with the weatherstrip at the front pillar and roof side that the edge of the glass cannot be seen. Make sure the door glass is not loose when it is half open. When the door glass is rising up, check that the door glass and roof side weatherstrip are parallel and that the door glass contacts the 2 upper plates. Check that the door glass moves up and down smoothly over all areas.

DOOR GLASS (REAR)
- Adjust lateral position of upper part of the door glass. Remove bolt (A) and remove upper plate. Loosen 2 nuts (B). Loosen 2 nuts (C), then adjust the stud bolts using a hexagon wrench. (Scheme 34)
- Adjust the front/rear position of the door glass. Loosen the 2 bolts (D), then adjust the door glass. (Scheme 34)
- Adjust the inclination of the rear end of the door glass. Loosen the 2 bolts (D). (Scheme 34)
- Adjust the glass in the vertical direction. Loosen the 2 bolts (E) and adjust the upper stopper vertically. (Scheme 34)
- Tighten the 2 nuts (B) until they touch the panel. (Scheme 34)
- Install the upper plate with the bolt.
- After adjustment is done, check to make sure when you close the door with the glass fully closed, the A-A, B-B sections are in the same condition as in (Scheme 35). When you push the glass firmly from inside, the glass stops at the roof drip molding and does not move. When you close the door with the glass fully closed, the glass is not caught in the outside lip of the weatherstrip and does not touch to the roof drip molding. With the door closed, the glass moves smoothly. The upper edge of the glass cannot be seen from outside of the vehicle (edge touching roof side rail weatherstrip). When the glass is being raised, the glass and roof side rail weatherstrip are parallel, and the front and rear door window upper stops touch at the same time.

Continuity
Disconnect power window master switch. Check continuity between appropriate power window master switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. (Scheme 37)- (Scheme 45). If continuity is not as specified, replace power window master switch.

Illumination
- Set the window lock switch to the unlock position.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 8 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4, and check that all the illuminations light up. (Scheme 46)
- Set the window lock switch to the lock position, check that all the passenger's power window switch illuminations go out. (Scheme 47) If operation is not as specified, replace the master switch.

Circuit
Disconnect the connector from the power window master switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side. (Scheme 48) If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.

POWER WINDOW SWITCH
Note. These procedure apply to passenger power window switches. For driver's side power window master switch, see POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH .
Disconnect appropriate power window switch. Check continuity between appropriate power window switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. (Scheme 49) If continuity is not as specified, replace appropriate power window switch.

Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side. (Scheme 50) If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.

Remove power main relay. Power main relay is located on back of junction block No. 1, under driver's side of instrument panel. Check continuity of power main relay as specified. (Scheme 51) If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.

Relay Circuit
Remove power main relay. Power main relay is located on back of junction block No. 1, under driver's side of instrument panel. Test relay as specified. (Scheme 52) If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.

Driver's Door
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise. (Scheme 53)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise. (Scheme 53) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Front Passenger's Door
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise. (Scheme 54)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise. (Scheme 54) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Rear Left Door
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise. (Scheme 55)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise. (Scheme 55) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Rear Right Door
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the motor turns counterclockwise. (Scheme 56)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise. (Scheme 56) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

- Disconnect the connector from the motor.
- Connect the connector to the master switch and power window switch.
- Inspect the connector on the wire harness side (Scheme 57), (Scheme 58) and/or (Scheme 59).

- Disconnect the connector from the master switch.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 6 on the wire harness side connector and raise the window to full closed position. (Scheme 60)
- Continue to apply voltage, check that there is a circuit breaker operation noise within approximately 4 to 40 seconds. (Scheme 60)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the window begins to descend within approximately 60 seconds. (Scheme 61) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Front Passenger's Door, Rear Left Side Door & Rear Right Side Door
- Disconnect the connector from the master switch.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 on the wire harness side connector and raise the window to full closed position. (Scheme 62)
- Continue to apply voltage, check that there is a circuit breaker operation noise within approximately 4 to 40 seconds. (Scheme 62)
- Reverse the polarity, check that the window begins to descend within approximately 60 seconds. (Scheme 63) If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

Using An Ammeter
- Disconnect the connector from the master switch.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the ammeter to terminal 3 on the wire harness side of the connector and the negative (-) lead to negative terminal of the battery. (Scheme 64)
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 on the wire harness side of the connector. (Scheme 64)
- As the window goes down, check that the current flow is approximately 7 A. (Scheme 65)
- Check that the current increases up to approximately 14.5 A or more when the window stops going down. If operation is not as specified, replace the master switch.

Using An Ammeter With A Current-Measuring Probe
- Remove the master switch with connector connected.
- Attach a current measuring probe to terminal 8 of the wire harness. (Scheme 66)
- Turn the ignition switch ON and set the power window switch in the down position.
- As the window goes down, check that the current flow is approximately 7 A. (Scheme 67)
- Check that the current increases up to approximately 14.5 A or more when the window stops going down. If operation is not as specified, replace the master switch
