LS400 & SC400
- Ensure all drain cocks are closed. Remove fill plug from coolant inlet housing. Turn ignition and A/C blower fan on. Adjust temperature control to highest setting. Ensure heater valve lever, in engine compartment, is at 2 o'clock position.
- Slowly add coolant mixture through coolant inlet housing until system is full. Install fill plug with NEW gasket, and tighten to 33 ft. lbs. (44 N.m). Slowly add more coolant mixture at coolant reservoir tank. Start engine, and let it idle for at least 10 minutes.
- Add more coolant mixture to coolant reservoir tank to just below overflow pipe. Bring engine speed to 2000-3000 RPM for 5 minutes. Recheck coolant level at coolant reservoir tank, and add as necessary. Recheck system for leaks.
