PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-568615-S13991606862013072300000) . OK "Zero Point Calibration is complete." is displayed. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC Turn the power switch on (IG). Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-568615-S18331892592013072300000) . Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag sensor assembly. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-568761-S06551148112013072300000) . Turn the power switch off. Turn the power switch on (IG). Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-568615-S18331892592013072300000) . OK DTC B1785 is not output. HINT: Codes other than DTC B1785 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  3. PERFORM SENSITIVITY CHECK Using the Techstream, perform Sensitivity Check. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-568615-S13991606862013072300000) . NEXT --> END
  4. REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY Turn the power switch off. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Replace the front seat cushion spring assembly. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-568764-S04604509752013072300000) for Manual seat. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-568764-S10284912232013072300000) for Power seat). NEXT: Go to next step
  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Turn the power switch on (IG). Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-568615-S13991606862013072300000) . NEXT: Go to next step

  1. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT Turn the power switch on (IG), and check the SRS warning light condition. HINT: If this trouble occurs, the SRS warning light is off. If the light is on, a DTC is output. Troubleshoot for the output DTC. OK After the primary check period, the SRS warning light goes off. HINT: The primary check is performed for approximately 6 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG). NG --> See step 16 OK: Go to next step

  4. RETIGHTEN FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH BOLT Turn the power switch off. Loosen the 4 installation bolts of the front seat assembly RH. Tighten the 4 installation bolts of the front seat assembly RH to the specified torque. Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) NEXT: Go to next step
  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Turn the power switch on (IG). Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-568615-S13991606862013072300000) . OK "Zero Point Calibration is complete." is displayed. NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step

  7. READ VALUE USING PASSENGER SIDE BUCKLE SWITCH Turn the power switch on (IG). Using the Techstream, read Data List. Refer to «DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST»(ref-568615-S42429152122013072300000) . Read the display when the passenger side buckle switch is operated.   8. CHECK CONNECTORS Turn the power switch off. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Disconnect the connectors from the occupant detection ECU and 4 occupant classification sensors. Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged. OK The terminals are not deformed or damaged. NG --> REPLACE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH OK: Go to next step
  9. REPLACE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU Connect the connectors to the 4 occupant classification sensors. Replace the occupant detection ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-568591-S13313485522013072300000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  10. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Turn the power switch on (IG). Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-568615-S13991606862013072300000) . NEXT: Go to next step

  12. CHECK CONNECTORS Turn the power switch off. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Disconnect the connectors from the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH. Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged. OK The terminals are not deformed or damaged. NG --> REPLACE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH OK: Go to next step
  13. REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Connect the connector to the occupant detection ECU. Replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-568592-S33038158352013072300000) for Manual seat. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-568592-S20024442842013072300000) for Power seat). NEXT: Go to next step
