  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
  3. Monitor the "BATTERY VOLTAGE" parameter on the GDS. Specification: Below. 17.5V
  4. Is parameter displayed within specifications? YES Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in power harness (IGN+) and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to " «VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR»(ref-537309-S06909427532013032200000) " procedure. NO Go to " «TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION»(ref-537309-S21346448322013032200000) " procedure.

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Monitor the "BATTERY VOLTAGE" parameter on the GDS. Specification: Above. 9±0.5V
  4. Is parameter displayed within specifications? YES Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in power harness (IGN+) and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to " «VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR»(ref-537309-S13688369552013032200000) " procedure. NO Go to " «TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION»(ref-537309-S42351669342013032200000) " procedure.

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Press the ESC(ESP) SWITCH.
  4. Monitor the "ESC(ESP) Off Switch" parameter on the GDS. Specification: ESC(ESP) switch parameter changed ON / OFF stats.
  5. Whenever the switch is pushed up/down, is the ESC(ESP) off switch's GDS data changed ON/OFF? YES Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in ESC(ESP)switch line or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to " «VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR»(ref-537309-S30146286962013032200000) " procedure. NO Go to " «TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION»(ref-537309-S15923578232013032200000) " procedure.

  1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Press the brake pedal.
  4. Monitor the "Brake Light Switch" parameter on the GDS.
  5. Whenever Brake pedal is pushed down, is the brake lamp switch's GDS data changed ON/OFF? YES Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in brake light switch line and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to " «VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR»(ref-537309-S12576623692013032200000) " procedure.
