Testing & Diagnostics

ABNORMAL NOISE OR KNOCKING

  1. Check engine oil and coolant level.
  2. Check that throttle valve opens fully when accelerator pedal fully depressed.
  3. Check installation of throttle cable.
  4. Check installation of throttle body.
  5. Check engine compression.
  6. Check Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
  7. Check fuel system pressure.
  8. Check cooling system.
  9. Check for contaminated fuel.
