Circuit Testing
- Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, backprobe between ground and pin No. 12 (Red/Black wire) at master power window switch. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, repair open or short to ground in Red/Black wire between PWIND fuse and master power window switch. Retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, backprobe between ground and pin No. 7 (Black wire) at master power window switch. If continuity exists, replace master power window switch. If continuity does not exist, repair open in ground circuit (Black wire) between master power window switch and chassis ground. Retest system.
- Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and pin No. 5 (Red wire) at master power window switch while holding left front control button in UP position. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace master power window switch. Retest system.
- Measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and pin No. 3 (Green wire) at master power window switch while holding left front control button in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace master power window switch. Retest system.
- Check for battery voltage at pin No. 1 (Red wire) of left front window motor with left front control button in UP position. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open or short to ground in Red wire between master power window switch and left front window motor. Retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, backprobe between ground and pin No. 2 (Green wire) of left front window motor with left front control button in UP position. If continuity exists, replace left front window motor. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Green wire between master power window switch and left front window motor. Retest system.
- Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, backprobe between ground and pin No. 3 (Green wire) at master power window switch. Depress left front control button fully, then release to activate auto-down mode. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, or changes to zero volts before window is fully lowered, replace master power window switch. Retest system.
- Repeat step 1) while checking for battery voltage between pins No. 3 (Green wire) and No. 5 (Red wire) at master power window switch. If battery voltage is not present, or changes to zero volts before window is fully lowered, replace master power window switch andretest system.
- Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, ensure battery voltage exists at each specified pin of master power window switch while operating switch. See «MASTER SWITCH POWER DISTRIBUTION»(ref-36508-S37265354712001010900000). (Схема №1) If switch tests okay, go to next step. If switch fails one or more condition, replace master power window switch. Retest system. - With ignition on, ensure battery voltage exists at each specified pin each individual passenger window switch while operating switch. See «PASSENGER SWITCH POWER SUPPLY»(ref-36508-S11368120922001010900000). (Схема №2) If power supply to switches test okay, go to «MASTER SWITCH OPERATES ALL WINDOWS/ONE OR MORE»(ref-36508-S24851825642001010900000) PASSENGER SWITCH INOPERATIVE. If power supply to one or more switch is not present, repair appropriate power feed circuit to passenger window switch. Retest system.

PASSENGER SWITCH POWER SUPPLY
- Turn ignition on. If any passenger window switch operates, go to next step. If no passenger switch operates, use a voltmeter and ensure battery voltage exists between ground and pin No. 4 (Black/Blue wire) of master power window switch. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace master power window switch. Retest system.
- Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at pin No. 1 (Black/Blue wire) at faulty window switch. If battery voltage exists, replace faulty power window switch. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open or short in Black/Blue wire between master power window switch and passenger power window switch. Retest system.
