- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the crash pad. (Refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-378954-S04244826872010113000000) )
- Disconnect the connectors from the fresh and recirculation actuator, the blower motor and power misfit.
- Remove the cowl cross bar assembly. (Refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-378954-S04244826872010113000000) )
- Remove the blower unit (A) from the heater unit after loosening a mounting bolt and 3 screws. NOTE: Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower and duct joints.
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Scheme 5
- Connect the battery voltage and check the blower motor rotation.
- If the blower motor voltage does not operate properly, substitute with a known-good blower motor and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace the blower motor.
Scheme 6
Scheme 7
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the connector (A) of the blower motor.
- Remove the blower motor (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
- Install in reverse order of removal.

DESCRIPTION
The particle filter includes odor filter as well as conventional dust filter to ensure comfortable interior environment.
Scheme 9
Scheme 10
- Open the glove box (B). Lower the glove box down completely by removing the glove box stopper (A) to the glove box.
- Remove the filter cover (A) with pushing the knob.
- Replace the air filter (B), install it after making sure of the direction of air filter. NOTE: In case of driving in an air-polluted area or rugged terrain, check and replace the air filter as frequently as possible. Replacement period : 10,000 mile (15,000 km)
Scheme 11
- The intake actuator is located at the blower unit.
- It regulates the intake door by signal from control unit.
- Pressing the intake selection switch will shift between recirculation and fresh air modes.
Scheme 12
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect the intake actuator connector.
- Verify that the intake actuator operates to the recirculation position when connecting 12V to the terminal 1 and grounding terminal 2.
- Verify that the intake actuator operates to the fresh position when connecting in the reverse.
- If the intake actuator does not operate properly, substitute with a known-good intake actuator and check for proper operation.
- If the problem is corrected, replace the intake actuator.
Scheme 13
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the glove box (Refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-378954-S04244826872010113000000) ).
- Disconnect the intake actuator connector.
- Loosen the mounting screw and then remove the intake actuator (A) from the blower unit.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
