- Remove air cleaner box and air tube.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable
- Remove starter motor mounting bolt.
- Disconnect the electrical connector at throttle body.
- Remove throttle body bolts and remove throttle body.
- Push starter under intake manifold.
- Tip starter nose toward cooling module.
- Pull starter up and out.
- Disconnect starter motor wiring.
- Remove starter motor from vehicle.
Scheme 6
- Connect starter motor wiring. Tighten battery cable nut to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).
- Install starter motor into vehicle lower engine compartment.
- Loose install starter into position.
- Install throttle body
- Install throttle body bracket.
- Install starter motor mounting bolts and tighten to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.).
- Connect throttle body electrical connector.
- Install air cleaner box and inlet tube.
- Connect battery negative cable.
