REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Driver's Door Module (DDM) is mounted to door trim panel. Remove front door trim panel. See FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL . Remove DDM retaining screws. Remove DDM from trim panel. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten trim panel screws to 20 INCH lbs. (2.2 N.m).
- Lower window to full down position. Remove window crank, if equipped. Remove door trim panel attaching screws. Using a trim stick, separate trim panel fasteners from door inner panel.
- Lift door trim upward and away from door to disengage top of panel from inner weather-stripping. Pull door trim panel out far enough to access inside door latch release and lock linkage rods near back of inside door remote controls.
- Disconnect ends of latch release and lock linkage rods and remove rod ends from inside door remote controls. Disconnect door lock, window or mirror connectors, if equipped. Remove door trim panel from door. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove front door trim panel. See FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL . Remove power mirror mounting trim cover screw. Using a trim stick, gently pry power mirror mounting trim cover away from door and remove cover. Disconnect power mirror harness connector. Remove 3 mirror mounting screws. Remove power mirror from door. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Using a trim stick, gently pry around edge of switch to release snap clips. Pull switch out enough to access harness connector. Disconnect stand-alone power mirror switch harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
