Control Components: Removal & Installation Jaguar XKR II

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the radiator splash shield. Refer to «Radiator Splash Shield»(ref-312542-S16146995052009041400000) article.
3. Remove the ambient air temperature sensor. Disconnect the electrical connector. Carefully release the clip.

Installation

1. Install the ambient air temperature sensor. Secure the clip. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the radiator splash shield. Refer to «Radiator Splash Shield»(ref-312542-S16146995052009041400000) article.

Scheme 3

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the servo motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 3 screws.

1. Install the servo motor assembly. Align the servo motor drive. Install the screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.

Scheme 4

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the servo motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 3 screws.

1. Install the servo motor assembly. Align the servo motor drive. Install the screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the LH side footwell heater duct. Release the lamp holder. Remove the 2 screws.
4. Remove the support bracket. Remove the screw.
5. Remove the servo motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 3 screws.

1. Install the servo motor assembly. Align the servo motor drive. Install the screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the support bracket. Install the screw.
3. Install the LH side footwell heater duct. Install the screws.
4. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
5. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.

Scheme 8

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the LH side footwell heater duct. Release the lamp holder. Remove the 2 screws.
4. Remove the servo motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 3 screws.

1. Install the servo motor assembly. Align the servo motor drive. Install the screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the LH side footwell heater duct. Install the screws.
3. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
4. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.

Scheme 9

1. Remove the instrument panel, lower trim panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel»(ref-312550-S35552250942009041400000) article.
2. Remove the in-vehicle temperature sensor. Remove the Torx screw. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Install the in-vehicle temperature sensor. Position the electrical harness. Connect and secure the electrical connector. Install the Torx screw.
2. Install the instrument panel, lower trim panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel»(ref-312550-S35552250942009041400000) article.

Scheme 10

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the servo motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the 3 screws.

1. Install the servo motor assembly. Align the servo motor drive. Install the screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.

1. Remove the center speaker grille. Carefully release the 4 clips. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the sunload sensor. Remove the 2 screws.

1. Install the sunload sensor. Install the screws.
2. Install the center speaker grille. Connect the electrical connector. Secure the clips.

Scheme 13

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Remove the A/C control module. Remove the 4 Torx screws. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Install the A/C control module. Install the Torx screws. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the instrument panel. Refer to «Instrument Panel»(ref-312550-S38249709262009041400000) article.
3. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to «Specifications»(ref-312541) article.
4. Connect WDS to the vehicle and configure a new module.

Note. Removal of this component is part of the audio removal procedure.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the audio unit. Refer to «Audio Unit»(ref-312605-S31254084282009041400000) article.

1. Install the audio unit. Refer to «Audio Unit»(ref-312605-S31254084282009041400000) article.
2. Connect the battery ground cable.
