DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
XJ8, XJR, XK8 and XKR models are equipped with Nippondenso model L3B-HE generator. (Scheme 1) The internally-regulated generator B+ circuit is protected by the same fuse that is used for the starter, ECM and fuel injection relay. Generator output is 120 amps when generator rotation speed is approximately 5000 RPM at 77°F (25°C).
