A1: CHECK THE IGNITION COIL SUPPLY VOLTAGE CIRCUIT

Pinpoint Test A

A3 Is the voltage greater than 10.5 Volts?

A2: CHECK THE IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE

Pinpoint Test A

A2 Is the resistance between 0.50 and 1.00 Ohms?

A3: CHECK THE CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE PCM AND THE IGNITION COIL

  1. Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE MANIFOLD»(ref-8293-S19720854052000082600000) .
  2. Remove the ignition coil. Disconnect the electrical connector. (1) Remove the ignition coil securing bolt. (2) Remove the ignition coil.
  3. Remove the engine cover.
