RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Note. Prior to performing riding height adjustments, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components. See PRE-ALIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS in WHEEL ALIGNMENT THEORY & OPERATION article in GENERAL INFORMATION.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES

Note. Prior to performing wheel alignment procedures, check riding height. Riding height must be checked with vehicle on level floor and tires properly inflated. Visually inspect vehicle for signs of abnormal height difference from front to rear or side to side. Check passenger and luggage compartments for extra heavy items, and remove them, if present. See RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT .

CAMBER ADJUSTMENT

Adjust camber by inserting or removing equal shim thickness from both pivot bolts between upper control arm pivot shaft and frame. (Scheme 1)

CASTER ADJUSTMENT

Adjust caster by inserting or removing shims between upper control arm pivot shaft and frame. (Scheme 1)

TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT

Adjust toe-in by turning tie rod and/or sleeves.
