RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Note. For information on 1999 Oasis, refer to 1998 Honda Odyssey in Honda WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article.

Note. This article also applies to 1999 Acura SLX and Honda Passport. For SLX, refer to Trooper. For Passport, refer to Rodeo, unless otherwise indicated.

Note. Prior to performing riding height adjustments, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components. See PRE-ALIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS in WHEEL ALIGNMENT THEORY & OPERATION article in GENERAL INFORMATION.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES

Note. Prior to performing wheel alignment procedures, check riding height. Riding height must be checked with vehicle on level floor and tires properly inflated. Visually inspect vehicle for signs of abnormal height difference from front to rear or side to side. Check passenger and luggage compartments for extra heavy items and remove them. See RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT .

CAMBER ADJUSTMENT

Note. Left and right side cross camber adjustment must be equal within .5 degrees.

CASTER ADJUSTMENT

Note. Left and right side cross caster adjustment must be equal within .5 degrees.

TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT

Adjust toe-in by turning tie rod and/or sleeves.
