CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENTS
Note. Line on fuel bowl sight glass indicates proper fuel level at idle.
Float Level Adjustment
With engine running at idle, ensure fuel level is right on center of float chamber glass level mark. To adjust float/fuel level, remove sight glass cover and bend float seat to make necessary adjustments. (Scheme 1) Manufacturer does not supply further float level adjustment procedures.
Scheme 1
Fast Idle Opening Angle Adjustment
- Close choke valve to fully closed position. Align fast idle adjusting screw on first (high) step of fast idle cam. (Scheme 2)
- Measure clearance between primary throttle valve and throttle valve chamber wall. Ensure clearance is.048-.058" (1.23-1.47 mm). Ensure primary throttle valve angle is 25 degrees. If clearance is not as specified, adjust using fast idle adjusting screw.

Choke Valve Opening Adjustment
Position fast idle adjusting screw tip against fast idle cam second step. (Scheme 4) Measure clearance between choke valve and choke valve chamber wall. Ensure clearance is.031-.051" (.80-1.30 mm). Ensure choke valve angle is 30 degrees. If clearance is not as specified, bend counter lever tang.
Choke Unloader Adjustment
Fully open primary throttle valve. Measure clearance between choke valve and choke valve chamber wall. (Scheme 5) Ensure clearance is.106-.130" (2.70-3.30 mm). Ensure choke valve angle is 50 degrees. If clearance is not as specified, bend adjusting lever tang.
