Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid
The TCM controls torque converter lock-up by delivering an output signal to TCC solenoid, located on adapter case valve body. see scheme 12 Torque converter lock-up will exist only when all of following conditions exist
- Engine and transmission are at normal operating temperature.
- Brake pedal is released.
- Transmission is in 3rd or 4th gear (1993 models).
- Transmission is in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear (1994 models).
Torque Management Control Signal (1994 Models)
The TCM delivers a spark advance output signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM) during transmission shifting. This reduces the engagement shock caused by changing of vehicle speed.
TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID
