Removal & Installation
Insert a thin, flat-blade screwdriver between switch bezel and mounting surface. Release bezel lock and remove power mirror switch assembly. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove power mirror, defogger or mirror retract switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Hombre)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove screw cover at bottom of door pull handle. Remove 2 screws attaching door pull handle and single plastic screw behind inside door handle. Use Trim Pad Remover (J38778) to disengage clips attaching door panel clips to door panel. Pull door panel upward to disengage top of panel from door.
- Disconnect electrical connector for power mirror. Remove nuts attaching power mirror assembly to door. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Amigo, Rodeo & Trooper)
Remove mirror cover at top front of door, disconnect speaker connector (if equipped). Remove screws and power mirror. Unplug harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing mirror, hold glass run lip between door mirror base and center sash. (Scheme 1) Tighten bolts to 69 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
