DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
The multi-remote control system monitors signals transmitted from the remote controller, along with input signals from ignition switch and various controlled system switches, to control operation of the power door locks, interior light, panic alarm and hazard warning lights. When the proper signals are received, the multi-remote control system sends out appropriate signals to activate the requested action.
INTERIOR LIGHT OPERATION CHECK
- Turn interior light switch to DOOR position. Open driver's door. If dome light operates, go to next step. If dome light does not operate, repair interior light system as necessary. See appropriate wiring diagram in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
- Ensure all doors are closed and interior light switch is in DOOR position. Using a voltmeter connected to ground, backprobe terminal No. 9 (Red/Black wire) at Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector. (Схема №3) If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Red/Black wire between SECU and interior light.
- Ensure all doors are closed and interior light switch is in DOOR position. Using a voltmeter connected to ground, backprobe terminal No. 9 (Red/Black wire) at Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector. When unlock button on remote controller is pressed, zero volts should exist for 30 seconds. Before unlock button is pressed and 30 seconds after unlock button is pressed, battery voltage should exist. If voltage is as specified, system is okay at this time. If voltage is not as specified, replace SECU.
