Starting System: Removal & Installation Infiniti M37 IV

INSTALLATION

Note the following item, and install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573570-S34366434222013082200000) ".
2. Remove front undercover. Refer to " «FLOOR UNDER COVER: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573585-S24133070082013082200000) ".
3. Remove road wheel and tire (front LH). Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573624-S12927551992013082200000) "
4. Disconnect steering lower joint (1), and then remove it. Refer to " «WITHOUT 4WAS: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573581-S31713014682013082200000) ".
5. Remove terminal B nut (A).
6. Disconnect connector S (A).
7. Remove starter motor mounting bolts (B), using power tools.
8. Remove exhaust mounting bracket. Refer to " «VQ37VHR: EXPLODED VIEW»(ref-573579-S26210346602013082200000) ".
9. Remove starter motor (1) downward from the vehicle.

Note the following item, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573570-S34366434222013082200000) ".
2. Remove engine cover. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573596-S42371690742013082200000) ".
3. Remove intake manifold. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-573596-S16363859672013082200000) ".
4. Remove terminal B nut, and then terminal B harness.
5. Disconnect connector S.
6. Remove starter motor mounting bolts.
7. Remove starter motor upward from the vehicle.

Note the following item, and then install in the reverse order of removal.
