- Remove transmission and flywheel. For A/T, see TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. For M/T, see appropriate article in CLUTCHES. Remove crankshaft rear oil seal retainer. remove old liquid gasket from oil seal retainer. Remove old liquid gasket from mating surface of cylinder block. DO NOT scratch sealing surfaces.
- To install, apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to mating surface of rear oil retainer. Apply around inner side of bolts. Install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-8488-S16501283682000090100000) .
