  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to «COOLING SYSTEM»(ref-583685) .)
  3. Remove the radiator upper hose. (Refer to «COOLING SYSTEM»(ref-583685) .)
  4. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).
  5. Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to «INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM»(/hyundai/tucson/ii-2009-2015/remont/exhaust/#intake-exhaust-system) .)
  6. Remove the installation bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
