Body Control Module (BCM): Overview Hyundai Azera II

IPM Overview

The Body Control Module (IPM-Intelligent integrated Platform Module) supplies vehicle occupants with visual and audible information and controls various vehicle functions.

To provide and receive information, the module is interfaced to the vehicle's CAN bus communications network.

The IPM provides the following features

  1. Door Lock Control (Send Lock/Unlock commend via CAN)
  2. Burglar Alarm Control
  3. Decayed Room Lamp and MODE Lamp Control
  4. Key Hole Illumination Control
  5. Trunk Open Control
  6. Warning (Buzzer and indicator) Control
  7. Wiper control
  8. Lamp control (Tail, Head Lamp Low and High, Front fog, Room Lamp, Rear Fog lamp Control, HLLD)
  9. Turn/Hazard Signal Control
  10. Defroster
  11. External Buzzer and Burglar Alarm Horn control
  12. Panic
  13. Window control
  14. Key interlock solenoid
  15. Input signal sends via CAN for local functions
