POWER WINDOW MOTORS
Remove motor to be tested. Apply battery voltage directly to motor terminals. Motor should operate smoothly. Reverse polarity and ensure motor operates smoothly in opposite direction. Replace motor if it does not function as described.
POWER WINDOW SWITCHES
Note. Main switch assembly is located on driver's door. Sub-switch is mounted at each passenger's door.
Remove power window switch to be tested. Check continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST table. (Scheme 1) Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST
Scheme 1
ALL WINDOWS INOPERATIVE
Check for blown fuse No. 12 (15-amp) and/or sub-fusible link (IGN). Check main switch assembly, ground, wiring, and connectors. Repair or replace as necessary.
DRIVER'S WINDOW INOPERATIVE
Check for blown fuse No. 11 (15-amp). Check main switch assembly, driver's window motor and circuit breaker, wiring, and connector. Repair or replace as necessary.
PASSENGER'S WINDOW INOPERATIVE
Check window sub-switch, passenger's window motor and circuit breaker, wiring, and connector. Repair or replace as necessary.

| CAUTION | When loosening mounting screws of regulator and motor assembly, compressed force of regulator spring may cause regulator arm to spring up. When installing door trim seal, DO NOT place butyl tape over door trim fastener mounting area. |
