Power Windows: Removal & Installation Honda Prelude V

Removal & Installation (Accord)

1. Remove mirror mount cover. Pry out inner handle trim screw cap. Remove screw. Remove inner handle trim. Pull inner handle out half way. Disconnect inner handle rod and power door lock switch connector.
2. Remove master power window switch. See «MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH»(ref-32713-S29798766512001010900000) . Release clips holding door panel in place using a trim pad remover or other flat-blade tool. Remove door panel by pulling upward. Disconnect electrical connectors. To install, reverse removal procedures.

Removal & Installation (Prelude)

1. Remove inner handle. Disconnect inner handle. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove speaker cover. Remove 3 screws under speaker cover. Remove mirror mount cover. Remove screw from armrest pocket. Release clips holding door panel in place using a trim pad remover or other flat-blade tool. Remove door panel with as little bending as possible.

1. Remove door panel. See «DOOR PANEL»(ref-32713-S03707150242001010900000). Remove nut securing center stiffener. Remove plastic cover. Lower glass to access bolts. Remove bolts. Pull glass out through window opening.
2. Disconnect and detach connector and harness clip from door. Remove bolts "C" and "D" and loosen bolts "E". Remove regulator through hole in door. (Scheme 9) To install, reverse removal procedure. Grease all sliding surfaces of regulator. Ensure no clearance exists between glass and glass run channel when glass is closed.

Removal & installation (Civic & CR-V)

1. Remove door panel. See «DOOR PANEL»(ref-32713-S03707150242001010900000) . Remove plastic cover. Move glass to access bolts. Remove bolts and glass out through window slot. Disconnect window regulator connector. Detach harness clip. Remove regulator through opening in door. Scribe a line across sector gear and regulator. Remove motor from regulator.
2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Grease all sliding surfaces of regulator. Ensure there is no clearance between glass and glass run channel when glass is closed. Adjust glass as necessary. See «DOOR GLASS»(ref-32713-S32543973842001010900000) under ADJUSTMENTS.

Scheme 9

Pry out cap in pull pocket panel and remove screw. Release hooks at front and sides of switch assembly. Disconnect electrical connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. Remove left front door panel. Unplug electrical connectors. Remove master switch mounting screws. Remove master switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Remove door panel. See DOOR PANEL . Remove mounting switch screw. Remove power mirror switch from switch panel. Remove 2 mounting screws from switch panel. Remove switch panel from door panel. Remove 3 power window switch mounting screws. Remove power window switch. To install, reverse removal procedure. Individual passenger power window switches may be removed from master switch panel in similar manner.

Pry our screw cap in pull pocket. Remove screw. Release hooks at front and sides of pull panel/window switch assembly. Remove door panel. Unplug electrical connectors. Remove 2 mounting screws. Remove power window switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Remove door trim panel. Unplug electrical connectors. Remove 3 mounting screws securing power window switch panel to door trim panel. Remove 2 mounting screws and switch from switch panel. To install, reverse removal procedure.
