REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

WARNINGDeactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Turn ignition off. Remove driver-side door panel. Remove power window master switch panel mounting screws. Disconnect harness connectors. Remove power mirror master switch mounting screws. Lift up on power window master switch assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.

  1. Deactivate air bag system. See appropriate «AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS»(ref-10340) article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Disconnect negative battery cable and then positive battery cable. WAIT at least 3 minutes before beginning repairs under instrument panel. NOTE: Air bag main harness connector is a spring-loaded lock type.
  2. Remove door sill molding, left or right side kick panel and remove access panel. Remove fuse/relay block mounting bolt and pull fuse/relay block down. Disconnect harness connectors and remove fuse/relay block. To install, reverse removal procedure.
