ECM TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION

The following conditions must be present before testing pin voltages

  1. Engine at normal operating temperature.
  2. Engine idling in closed loop (ENGINE RUN column).
  3. ALDL test terminal not grounded.
  4. All B+ voltages indicate charging or battery voltage.
  5. All "0" voltages are ground circuits (should read less than 0.50 volt).
  1. Reads B+ for 2 seconds after ignition is turned on, then zero volts.
  2. B+ in gear and clutch pedal not depressed.
  3. B+ or zero volts depending on position of drive wheels.
  4. B+ for 2 seconds.
  5. Zero volts with steering wheel fully turned.
  6. A/T vehicles only.
