MAINTENANCE DISPLAY
The Maintenance Minder is an important feature of the multi-information display (EX-L Touring model) and the information display (VAN, LX, EX, AND EX-L models). based on engine operating conditions and accumulated engine revolutions, the Odyssey's onboard computer (PCM) calculates the remaining engine oil life. The system also displays the codes for other scheduled maintenance items needing service.

- When the remaining oil life is less than 5 percent, the maintenance message "SERVICE DUE NOW," along with the items shown in "SERVICE DUE SOON," is displayed. At this point, the indicated maintenance must be performed as soon as possible.
- When the remaining oil life is 0 percent, the display shows a "SERVICE PAST DUE" message, and the "0" in the display blinks when the ignition switch is in the ON (II) position.
MAINTENANCE MAIN ITEMS
If you do not see the maintenance minder indicator or the message indicator more than 12 months after the display is reset, change the engine oil every year.
Note. Independent of the maintenance messages in the multi-information display or in the information display, replace the brake fluid every 3 years. Inspect idle speed every 160,000 miles (256,000 km). Adjust the valves during services A, B, 1, 2 or 3 if they are noisy.
