Paddle Shifter - (Downshift Switch) Replacement

Scheme 144

1. Remove the steering wheel (see «STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL»(ref-291392-S33915606772008072800000) ).
2. Remove the four screws (A) securing the steering wheel rear cover (B) and front left cover (C), then remove the steering wheel rear cover. see scheme 333: Identifying Steering Wheel Rear Cover, Front Left Cover, Paddle Shifter - And Screws
3. Remove the paddle shifter - (downshift switch) connector from its holder, and disconnect the connector.
4. Remove the screw (D) securing the paddle shifter - (E), remove the paddle shifter -, and replace it with a new one.
5. Install the steering wheel front left cover on the steering wheel, if necessary.
6. Install the new paddle shifter - on the steering wheel, and secure it with the screw.
7. Connect the paddle shifter - connector securely, and install the connector in the connector holder.
8. Install the steering wheel rear cover, and secure the rear cover and the front left cover with the four screws.
9. Install the steering wheel (see «STEERING WHEEL INSTALLATION»(ref-291392-S26264866552008072800000) ).
